Shine the light on Liberalism

Shine the Light on Liberalism

I just had the great fun of reading a liberal blog. Same old tired crap. Unfortunately there are many mistakes in his story. (It is not important that I mention whom I am talking about. All liberals puke-up the same propaganda.)

First, he has Bush giving tax cuts and focusing on Education after the two wars we are fighting. This is a lie. Everyone knows tax cuts were passed before 9/11. He claims “King Bush doesn’t pay for No Child left behind.” Lie number two (if you are keeping track.) More money is spent on education now then during King Bill Clinton. Of course liberals never mention that their buddy Ted Kennedy helped write, “No child left behind.”

Liberals are afraid of the “No child left behind” program. It forces schools to show that they are educating students. Through a series of tests- “Show me kids are improving.” If you can’t.. You loose funds. Liberals hate this. They hate grades. Competition.. “That’s bad because children are unhappy when they lose.” Liberals want gumdrop trees and Hershey Bar streams where everyone is equal. Unfortunately, these children grow up and enter the work force and fail. They fail because a boss DOES look at performance, ability and competition.

Of course this liberal also mentions the Huge National dept. It is true that President Bush is spending much more than the average Republican would like to. But what other alternative do we have? America is fighting and winning two wars. Two major US cities were destroyed. If Bush didn’t spend, you know what liberals would say: “Bush doesn’t care about Black people. He is not funding the soldiers, etc.” We have heard this stuff before.

This liberal spins the national debt and trade deficit to be one in the same. This is lie number three because he should know better. “Do you think China is writing a check to pay for the war in Iraq?” You are wrong. “Do you think Japan is handing us a Visa card to pay for New Orleans? People are under the impression that the national debt went away during Bill Clinton. IT WAS STILL THERE PEOPLE! He had a surplus. This has nothing to do with the national debt. Surplus means; a couple of economists believe all national bills could be paid next fiscal year and some money would be left over. BUT.. If you think there is ever EXTRA MONEY IN WASHINGTON.. Disney Land is looking for someone to play Goofie.

This liberal then turns to hinting that the hurricanes are a good thing for Republicans because people might allow drilling for oil in Alaska and off-shore in the Gulf. “Well, if we choose to do nothing, get use to paying more for your gas.” This is lie number four because we have been talking about new oil drilling long before the hurricanes. Lie number five.. “Bush is doing nothing to find alternatives.” We are spending more money today then during Clinton for research into alternative power sources. This is a fact.

Liberals talk about republicans “wrapping themselves in the flag.” Hey buddy, I love this country. It doesn’t matter to me if a Republican or Democrat is in charge.. I will still love this country. I may cut apart some of the liberal programs this democrat is suggesting, but I would never condemn the country, or the people who voted for this democrat, or the flag or spit on soldiers returning from a war. A liberal looking at the flag is like Dracula looking at the sun. I think it has more to do with guilt then anything else. Everyone is born with a conscience. Even liberals.

Lie number 6.. Republicans want to dismantle Social Security. Nobody at the RNC level has ever suggested this. Privatization would only allow you to invest 7%. Apparently no liberal has ever done the math on this, so I will. Lets make it easy.. You are set to receive $1,000 per month from Social Security. You are the stupidest person alive and you lose 7%... Year after year. Everything you invest in drops to zero and you never sell. Instead of receiving a check for $1,000 per month.. You will receive $ 930. “Big Whoopty Doo.” Freaking liberals are making a mountain out of a molehill.

There is a bright side to all of this.. Republicans have probably gained another red state. Anyone want to bet if the people of Louisiana will put another Democrat in office? Have a nice day!!...Biff...

We are getting a ton of comments on this one...

We will post as many as we can!!

Of course Louisiana will be a red state once the developers buy up all of the cheap land, pay people minimum wage to build on it (thanks to Bush's repeal of Davis-Bacon) and then the people who build it won't be able to afford to live there any more. This is a Republican wet dream - all of the black democratic voters in Louisiana being spread out to other states where their votes won't matter.

Utah and Nevada have huge oil reserves just discovered, how much is yet to be determined. The technology to remove oil from shale is gaining in popularity and the technology is getting cheaper.Yep education rules and we need to hold the schools responsible for the results they obtain. This world is RESULTS ORIENTED.

That last picture in your set is great, AR. I'm glad that such antipodal forces as Coulter and Sharpton at least have the decency to be able to be photographed together... without the hands of one around the neck of the other. The really interesting question would be... which of them suggested that they be photographed together? Bill Bennett

Bill Bennett's statement on abortion was a big topic here at The Angry Republican . At first I was hearing only the sound bite and it was in real poor taste. I later got a chance to hear the unedited version and you know what…. It still was in poor taste.
Bill Bennett said:

"…(If) you wanted to reduce crime ... if that were your sole purpose, you could abort every black baby in this country, and your crime rate would go down." Bennett then said that aborting all African-American babies "would be an impossible, ridiculous, and morally reprehensible thing to do," then added again, "but the crime rate would go down."

I realize a lot of folks on the right are trying to explain why Bennett said what he did. "He was doing a live radio show… Mistakes happen." "It's taken out of context.. He was doing a hypothetical.."

I do not think Bill Bennett is a racist. I'll bet he wishes that he could take those words back. Just a stupid thing to say and he probably should apologize right away.

I also believe that Louis Farrakhan is being racist by saying White People blew up the levees in New Orleans.

I worry that we have become too politically correct in this country. Isn't free speech a term for speaking freely? You cannot say what comes into your mind. Not today. You must first run any statement you are going to make through a filter. You must make sure it doesn't offend anyone. If you offend one person, you are kicked out of society.

Political Correctness is killing individuality…..Biff…

We are getting some heated comments........

Stop apologizing for him. He said it twice: abort black babies and the crime rate will go down. That is pure racism and if you can't recognize it, then you should become an angry Democrat. When you assume, as he did TWICE that mere birth makes you prone toward negative behavior, you are a RACIST. There is nothing politically incorrect about it, it is RACISM. Equivocators like you are making the Republican Party look like the idiots the Democrats have been saying they are. Congratulations.

comment by badgerpop

Badgerpop, I said that it was a stupid thing to say.. Bill Bennett should apologize right away! (Like that will make any difference to democrats.)

What he said was the truth! Theoretically speaking. It is the truth…

If all WHITE women aborted their children, the crime rate would go down.
If all Italian women aborted their children, the crime rate would go down.

Anytime you lower the population, you have fewer people looking for jobs and reduce stress from over crowding. Fewer people buying things means the price of goods comes down. Parents have an easier time raising children and therefore crime would go down. But this is theoretically speaking. I do not believe abortion solves anything.
I understand what he was trying to say. HE SAID IT IN A VERY STUPID MANNER.

My take on the whole situation is I fear we are getting too politically correct in this country. If Bill Bennett or Louis Farrakhan wants to speak their mind, go ahead.

Speaking of which, I noticed you completely stayed away from Farrakhan saying White people blew up the levees to destroy the Black community. That is a very racist thing to say.
A little too politically incorrect for you!! That's too bad…AR…

comment by grumpy

We all agree that Bill Bennett, and many other conservatives, sometimes say stupid things. Liberals gleefully get worked up in a dither and conservatives admit that a statement was wrong. When liberals make stupid or incorrect statements the media ignores it and the liberals will not admit that a statement was stupid or incorrect. Liberals defend every statement by Howard Dean, Harry Reid, Dick Durbin, Ted Kennedy, Cindy Sheehan and a host of others as Gospel, no matter how outrageous. Democrats can say "Bush doesn't care about black people and left them to die" and there is no complaints but if a conservative mentions the black crime rate, he is a racist.

Yeah, Bennet made a stupid comment. Farakhan on the other hand made a 'RACIST' COMMENT. But since he is Black, he will not be held accountable. Yes, it is a double set of standards. Only blacks can say nigger and get away with it. Only blacks can make racists comments and get away with it. Now I'll probably be called racist for saying what I just said, OH WELL.

I think Bennet actually exposed the racism of the Pro-Choice movement rather than his own biases. Dem's have been very successful in wrapping themselves in the "race-friendly" shroud, but the whole "Abortion lowers crime" line IS racist, and it's coming from the left.

Protesting the anti-war protesters with anti-protesting!

Americans have always protested war. From the very beginning some people didn’t want to fight the Revolutionary War. "Pay the taxes.. Things will get better." Many people in the north wanted to let the south secede from the union. Many Americans didn’t want anything to do with Hitler. "Wasn’t our war." The protesting of Vietnam is the most cited today.

I see nothing wrong with protesting. What I do not care for is the re-writing of history. Most protesters are probably honest people who hate war of any kind. They believe they are doing the right thing. Some protesters have an agenda to topple President Bush. They are using the war as a way to do this. These people do not have the best interest of America in mind. They do not care what happens to Iraq.

RE-WRITING HISTORY

Anti-war radicals claim the Vietnam War was started on a lie. They have a crystal ball that has told them that the North Vietnamese would never fire on the America Navy. True, witnesses have said they never heard a shot fired at our ship. But others said they witnessed a North Vietnamese gunboat circle out and a shot was fired. But this is irrelevant now because this was investigated and judged that the Navy did what we ask them to do. They believed they were being attacked and they returned volley. To believe anti-war radials you must believe our military is corrupt and the North Vietnamese could be trusted. I can't go there!

Radials want you to believe that the President knew Japan was about to attack Pearl Harbor but did nothing to alert our military. The theory is that Americans would get angry and join WWII. To believe this you must believe an American president was so heartless he would allow thousands of Americans to die. I do not believe this.

Anti-Bush and Anti-war radicals wants you to believe Bush lied to get us in a war with Iraq. The only people who believe this are people who hate Bush to begin with. Bush never claimed weapons of mass destruction were the ONLY reason to invade Iraq. Every speech he made listed all the atrocities Saddam had committed. It was the media that cut Bush’s speeches down to little sound bites. These sound bites listed only WMD’s. But every speech, Bush listed WMD’s, 17 UN resolutions broken, murdering people of Iraq, etc. Saddam had missiles. One came down very close to our command base. Saddam had French made rocket launchers. He used them to shoot at our troops. Bill and Hillary Clinton, John Kerry, Al Gore, and countless countries believed Saddam had weapons of mass destruction. More important.. What Saddam could become if left in power.

Why would radicals want to change history? To prove that all war is unnecessary and wrongfully entered into. This may seem like a noble cause. What if everyone in America believed this? Would young men and women still sign up for the military? Would we still have a military? Would we be ready for anything the future may bring? There is a danger in trying to change history.

So go ahead and have your anti-war protest. You are not the first and will not be the last. Watch what you say about my President. Your ass has been in the dirt quite a few times lately. No need to degrade. There is no dignity in that. Maybe dignity is what the Democratic Party is missing. The Democratic Party has become The National Enquirer of politics.

I believe that the president had not idea Japan would attack. He would have done something. I believe our Navy felt they were under attack at Vietnam. I believe President Bush thought Iraq had weapons of mass destruction. But then again, I believe in America….Biff…

The big anti-war protest in DC

We at The Angry Republican, have photos from the big Anti-War protest that took place in DC. You can enlarge any photo by clicking on it. Then just click back to return.

In this photo, we see a big bird. It looks like a type of seagull. Seagulls are like rats with wings. They eat garbage. Eeuueww!

Even more protesting

If you look closely at the place we circled.. Is that legendary ZZ Topp front man Frank Beard?? No.. Wait.. Beard was the only member of ZZ Topp with no beard. Sorry.

still more protesting

Here we see a DC cop showing a protester how to do the Limbo. "Can you go lower now!"

more protesting

Now this photo disturbs even the sick minds we have here at The Angry Republican. If you look closer in this photo, you will see.. Let's use the special photographic equipment we have to enlarge the section of the photo.. ( Drop to next photo)

Peace Protest

Now.. If I am not mistaken.. That looks like Osama Bin Laden at the anti-war protest. This is too much. The Democrats have Hillary, Rev Jesse Jackson, Cindy Sheeham and now Osama Bin Laden. (That would probably be the best place for Bin Laden to hide out. At a democratic function.)

Here are some comments we have received........................

I have to say that I am a bit disappointed. I thought for sure the picture of a smiling and gloating Cindy Sheehan would be on there. It seems she loves celebrity-um as she leads her people to protest.
The seagull threw me for a loop. Is that suppose to be a dove? It's the stupidest looking dove I've ever seen! Or is it a seagull that stands for scavengers and leeches that feed on waste and duck and run when threatened!!! The seagull also steals from other seagulls.

I needed to educate myself with the levee systems on the Mississippi. I found a book that did just that. I needed two questions answered:

Trouble paying bills? Here is a tax.

I am hearing a buzz in the liberal media over the idea of raising the gas tax to force people to shop for smaller vehicles. The talk is an extra .50 cents per gallon. “Why do people want to hand over money to the government. "Here is my wallet.. Just take it.. Be done with it!!” Our founding fathers would leave America to find another place to start over if they could hear this.

In a free country, why do people always want to force Americans to do things? The market will raise the price naturally due to availability of oil.Europe has always been a great indicator on future gas prices. For years, Americans enjoyed gas priced at around $1 dollar a gallon. In Europe, they were paying $2.50. We are now paying that amount and the Europeans are now paying about $5 per gallon. We will probably hit $5 per gallon in the next few years. The smart person would be prepared for this.

Why raise the price if you do not have to? People are already fed up with big vehicles. Many are shopping for alternatives. When you raise the price of oil, the price of everything goes up as well. Food, clothes and everything. Oil producing countries will not let you get to happy about alternative cars. OPEC will lower the price of a barrel of oil to $25. Gas will go back to around $1.20. "It is called capitalism." Both alternative and oil burning cars will compete with each other and we will enjoy lower prices for both.

The Democrat solution to every jam. Raise taxes. “Running low on oil.. Hmmm.. Lets raise taxes” “People are having trouble paying for gas, let’s put in a tax.”....Biff...

Here are some comments.............................

If you lot over there would stop thinking the world stops at your shores, you would burn less gas and the world would not be heating up the sky, and the wind would not be blowing the strongest hurricanes we've seen...just a thought Biff.

comment by angryrepublican

I am inclined to agree that a gas tax is a bad idea. I don't disagree with taxation in general; money ought to be paid in taxes as an investment into the city/county/state/country... it's just that I can't imagine paying even more for gas than we would ordinarily.

comment by vitriolaholic

I really haven't heard any liberals talking about raising gas taxes... which would be a dumb move politically especially when prices are approching $3.00 per gallon.Gas prices are what is driving inflation and endangering our economy. I wish you were right about prices going back down to $1.20 or so but it's not realistic. Americans will be considering smaller or hybrid cars in the near future whether there are new taxes or not.In Europe you see much smaller cars, you never see SUVs or pickup trucks, and that may be a result of much higher taxes, so I suppose it worked over there.

comment by liberalfreak

I believe I heard it first as an editorial in the NY Times or Washington Post. I didn't think much of it. Then I started to hear some in the left wing media pushing the idea.I believe a $1.20 a gallon of gas is possible in America. If 1 in every 100,000 Americans buy an alliterative vehicle, OPEC is not going to notice. But if 1 in every 100 people in America buys an alternative car… OPEC is not going to let you walk away from oil that easily. Not when they are sitting on that much oil. They will drop the price of a barrel and hold it there until you feel confident enough to stick with a big car. If we regulate oil or we place a big tax on a gallon of gas, then we bypass any future competition between oil and alternative vehicles. The competition will also cause the price of alternative cars to come down. Thanks for the comments!…AR…

Americans-R-Good foundation

Dr. Needlelick

Many people watched President Bush give his speech from New Orleans Thursday. After the speech some reporters asked questions of some of the hurricane survivors. These reporters looked surprised at who the survivors blamed for the slow rescue during the disaster. Some reporters even questioned the answers.
It was hard not to point the finger at someone. I’m sure each one of us had a person singled out as the prime culprit for this catastrophe. I know I did.How could we all watch the same event and come away with different conclusions?
OR DID WE ALL WATCH THE SAME EVENT?

How could so many people watch the O.J Simpson trial and believe he was guilty, only to find he was found innocent. What did the jury hear that we did not?
We witnessed the tragedy of 9/11. Why were so many people surprised by the outcome of the 9/11 commission? Did we all watch the same thing?
Millions of people watched the Michael Jackson trial and knew he was guilty. He was found innocent. What happened?
Are we being told the truth when we watch our favorite news sources? Probably. If they tried to lie, they would end up as CBS News, New York Times and Newsweek, being found out untrue. But are we being told the whole truth?
During the aftermath of the levee breach, I was switching from Fox to Cnn. One was asking why the governor didn’t get prepared, the other network was asking where FEMA and the President are. By switching between the two I got a fair and balanced report. News has become less about Who, What, Where and When. It is more about an OPINION on Why.
In a free country with free speech, I really cannot complain about news networks not covering both side of a story. They are a business.
In the next couple of weeks, we will hear more stories of great deeds that came out of this New Orleans tragedy. Church groups like the Baptists who arrived immediately and started feeding people. Nurses and doctors stayed in a dangerous area to treat the sick. Most of the police stayed to help even though they had no idea what happened to their own homes.
Years from now, people are not going to remember all the finger pointing and acusations. They will remember how Americans opened up their homes to people they didn’t even know. They opened up their checkbooks and they gave of their services.
Don’t worry about what other countries think of America. When ever they are in trouble, who do they always call? And we always help!

Thank You.

Who Blew up the levees?

Not to pat ourselves on the back or anything. The Angry Republican predicted in a humor piece titled "Conspiracy Theories for Democrats" (Sept 8th) that people on the left would claim "someone" blew up the levees. Louis Farrakhan was the first to claim that there is a 25' crater in the broken section of the levees. He started this claim early on and we didn't take much notice. Now the rumor is getting bigger on the left. The theory is that 'someone' deliberately blew up a section of the levees that would flood the poorest section of New Orleans and spare the richest part.

If you think someone blew up the levees, you have to ask why? Who would benefit from the poor section of New Orleans being destroyed? President Bush? This makes no sense. Any disaster like this would cause FEMA to pay big bucks. The fed budget is strapped to the limits and then some. People love to say that republicans do not care for the poor, so why would a republican president want to destroy a poor section of a town when he knew it would have to be rebuilt at a high cost. This makes no sense.

Would terrorists blow up the levees? Usually terrorist take credit for every little thing they do so I would think by now some group would have come forward to claim responsibility. That hasn’t happened.
Would the democratic mayor or governor destroy their own city. They would know that the feds would come in and rebuild it.

This is the wacky part of this conspiracy. Far left wing democrats are spreading this rumor, but they are the only ones who look like the prime suspects. Are we witnessing the democratic party imploding?...TMB

Need a new face??

This Face doctor in Cleveland is kind of spooking me. Dr Siemionow from the Cleveland clinic believes she can transplant a face. She wants to take someone else's face and stick it on your face. Well, not necessarily your face. If some one was a burn victim and their face was disfigured and another person died and they still had their face. This doctor wants to surgically trade faces. This would give burn victims a new face, but the new face could be rejected. Then you would have no face.

This is great for burn victims but I see a future evil for this trading face stuff. Say in 2008, if a fellow runs for president and we do not recognize him. He talks with a southern accent and says things like: "I feel your pain" and "Monica, get me a cigar."

See, when we republicans need new presidents, we keep popping out new drunken Bush babies. Democrats are going to stick new faces on Bill Clinton and keep running him till he drops over....Biff...

Thanks Jenn!

Good point Netwit! Maybe Michael Jackson could get Tito Jackson's face, he not using it right now.

Truth Master B, you ask.. " Are they paying money for these faces…" Are you looking to sell a face? The AP didn't say anything about selling faces. As far as I know, it is against the law to sell bodily organs in America. Skin is an organ. Sorry...AR…

The weekend RAP-up

Palestinians are heading into Egypt, Gaza wasn’t enough.
Now Egypt might see why Israel has to be so tough.

During the hurricane, 8 dolphins got washed out to sea.
2 dolphins returned, the other 6 must want to be free.

The French Quarter will open just weeks after it sunk.
What else can they do? Have a party and get drunk.

In New Orleans liberals said Bush was slow, "He should do more!"
Now they bitch because it's too much, Bush is giving away the store.

John Roberts did a fine job, all and all it went well.
The next nominee will be grilled by the senators from hell.

Gay marriage is back in the news, maybe now we will all see.
Why didn’t gays want to marry during the Clinton Presidency.

Paul McCartney writes, sings and plays, at 63 he still has much on tap.
All I did lately was wake up, eat a donut, and write up this crap.

The weekend RAP-up is sung to the tune of The Pussy Cat Dolls and their song "Don’t Cha."

The Blame Game

I hope with President Bush taking the blame for the response time of the federal government, the rest of this mess in New Orleans doesn't get swept under the carpet. The Mayor and Governor have many questions to answer.

In a post, (that I pitched because of changing news) I talked about what the role of FEMA and Homeland Security is. I chucked the post because it is irrelevant now, the definition of both FEMA and Homeland Security will change after the tragedy in New Orleans. We Americans will demand it!

One thing I did pull from this post was the fact that there is a danger in any city relying only on the federal government during a disaster. What if we are hit with 2 disasters at the same time? What about 3 disasters? Natural or man-made? The federal government may be overwhelmed. Homeland Security starts at home. Think of it as a checklist. The best of the best has put together a guide for your city to follow in the event of an attack. WHAT TO DO IF TERRORISTS….. and WHAT CAN THE CITY DO NOW TO PREPARE?… type of stuff.

Much of Homeland Security is not mandatory. It is suggestions. Good suggestions! But your city doesn't have to follow these suggestions. Without getting too far into this, one good example is The Super Boat. This boat is a hunter-interceptor. Homeland Security has picked various cities that could be port-of-entry for terrorists. A terrorist could transport a dirty bomb by boat, come a shore on a secluded beach, and transport this bomb to any truck. Then the bomb could be delivered to any city in America. Coastal cities rely on The Coast Guard. Some cities have police boats, but these boats are usually not real fast. What if they are busy or cannot catch a terrorist's boat? This interceptor style boat could help the coast guard patrol the waters and look out for unexplained boaters. There isn't much out there that can out-run this Super Boat.

This boat costs $214,000 each. Completely paid for by Homeland Security. You (your city) would have to pick up the cost of managing and maintaining the boat. (about $72,000 per year.) But here is the key… Your city doesn't have to take this boat. You can pass on it.

When we talk about Homeland Security or FEMA for that matter. It is important to understand what each can do. This definition may change after the investigation of hurricane Katrina. But, in any disaster, what YOU do next matters. Do what you need to do now to make sure your city is prepared.

My.. "Continental Drift Update" stuff is my attempt at using humor to show stupidity. With hurricane forecasting so good today. We know days ahead of time what area may be hit by a hurricane. The Disaster of New Orleans should never happen again. In this day and age, no one should die from a hurricane. Homeland Security starts at home….AR…

Post???

I had a post all ready to go here today. I had checked all my facts. Took a look at the spelling and punctuation. The only thing I had to do was stick the disc in and post. I come home from work and see that President Bush has taken responsibility for the response time of the feds.

Well, that shoots the crap out of my post. No sense in doing it now. The whole freaking thing is a waste now!!! The disc is now a dog toy. You would think the least the president would do is send me an e-mail and let me know what he is doing.

I'm just kidding.. Here is what the President said..:

"Katrina exposed serious problems in our response capability at all levels of government….And to the extent that the federal government didn't fully do its job right, I take responsibility. I want to know what went right and what went wrong,"
"I'm not going to defend the process going in, but I am going to defend the people who are on the front line of saving lives," he added. "I also want people in America to understand how hard people are working to save lives down there in not only New Orleans, but surrounding parishes and along the Gulf Coast."

So now, to fill the rest of this space I have…

Continental Drift Update…

As you know, the United States is still drifting across the Pacific Ocean and will SLAM into Russia and China. This will happen in 999,999,999 million years and 349 days. We want everyone to have enough time to prepare.

What can I do to help??

You can start by saving newspapers. As I understand it. Those people in China have a lot of stuff that can break. (fine china dishes, china shops, those fancy Chinese bowls that no one knows what to do with, etc) Wouldn't it be nice if we headed over there now and started wrapping things in newspaper!

Also save your old tires. Truck tires, car tires. We can place them along the West Coast to help ease the BUMP when we hit Russia. Bring your maggot infested old tires to: Ted Turners Buffalo Farm. I don't think Mr Turner has sold any of those Buffalo Burgers. "Hey Ted… Liberals don't eat meat." So Ted Turner has plenty of room on his ranch for your old tires.

So.. If we all do our part. Don't worry if your part is not as big as the next person's part. For it is when you take all of the parts, not just one part, but all of the parts with part and the other parts and stick them at Ted Turners Buffalo Farm. Then we all will see the parts together… Thank You!…AR…

September 11, 2001

It has been four years since the terrorists attacked America on 9/11. I am thankful each day that no new attacks have taken place on American soil. Hopefully, the things our military has done and the things yet to do will show terrorists that you do not mess with America. Terrorists may still attack on the battlefield, but even that has slowed down as of late. Terrorists will lose.

Today, I remember September 11, 2001. Like many people have said, I remember exactly were I was and what I was doing. I was heading into Pittsburgh on business. The van started handling funny so I pulled off. A tire was going bad. I saw a tire store just ahead so I headed there. Once in the waiting room, I saw a group of people focused on a TV. Even the tire store mechanics were in front of the TV watching something. I walked over and saw that the first tower had been hit. I thought I was watching a commercial for some new disaster movie. Then the second jet hit the Twin Towers. "This is no accident." One fellow in the room said out loud. It was then that we all knew this was an attack.

The third plane slammed into the pentagon. This is when shock dissipated in me and turned to anger. I wanted to see those bastards who planned this die.

The forth plane went down just 25 miles from were I was. The local Pittsburgh news cut away from the national news and we had no idea how big this attack was. Anger turned to fear. Many of us headed outside to watch the skies. Thinking maybe some how we could run out of the way if we saw a plane heading for Pittsburgh. I remember wondering if every city in America was a target for some terrorist's plane. People began pulling their children out of schools. For the rest of that day I looked to the skies. I have never lost my anger that someone could do this to innocent people.

There are many heroes from that day. Many people who took charge and help save lives. I wanted to focus on a hero of mine. Joe Dwyer. He is a 24-year-old hospital orderly from Wagram, N.C. When the World Trade Center was destroyed, he had a gut feeling his brother, a New York City transit cop, had been killed. When he learned that his brother was ok, Dwyer says, "I knew I had to do something." Two days later Dwyer joined the Army.

In March 2003, Dwyer was sent to Iraq as a medic. During a battle, an Iraqi boy was caught in the crossfire and shot in the leg. The boy's father was screaming for help. Joe Dwyer rushed in and grabbed the boy and carried him to safety.

There are those who are very critical of The American Soldier. When I think of the American Military, I see that picture of Joe Dwyer carrying the Iraqi boy to safety. Thanks Joe Dwyer for giving me that image to remember…AR…

“You have chosen to live here”

I got a chance to see comedian Jerry Seinfeld in concert recently. At the end of his show he took some questions. One fellow asked Jerry: “You’re a millionaire, why would you do a show here?” People were already laughing at the question. Jerry’s reply: “Well, I am only here for awhile.... YOU, on the other hand...” The crowd was laughing so loud, Jerry had to pause. When the laughter died down, Seinfeld continued: “You have chosen to live here”

I wanted to steal that line.. “You have chosen to live here.” This line is so true. We do choose to live “here”. Mentally and physically, where ever “here” might be.

In the last three post I have done, I have been very blunt. I have talked about the events of the tragedy of New Orleans in a cold-hearted, “just the facts” type of way. I did not talk about New Orleans until I saw democrats blaming only President Bush for this tragedy. I have been called racist, uncaring and basically stupid. This has caused me to do some soul searching.

I grew up in a predominantly African-American neighborhood. Mine was about the only white face you would see. In the 1960's and 70's, blacks were told that the White Man was holding them back. ‘It was the White Man that causes black people to be poor.” So black people were not too happy to see me. They never seemed to care that I was just as poor as they were. I was beat up many times. I remember one time, several guys tried to make me drink urine from a bottle. That was time I learned to run.. VERY FAST. I had guns held to my head, just to see if they could make me cry.

Running doesn’t always work. When people gang up on you, you can’t out run them. I have been on the ground being punch and kicked by a gang of 20. When I wasn’t getting in trouble by the police, I spent everyday looking for a way to get drunk and stoned.

I learned to fight. I became good at it. I learned to be funny. “If you can make someone laugh, they are less likely to shoot you.” As soon as I could, I took all kinds of jobs. I moved the hell away from that neighborhood. I changed the people, places and things that caused me trouble.

You may think I would be bitter, but I am not. Before that time, I was shy and quiet. I didn’t fight for anything. Today, I fight for what I want. I do not wait for the government or anyone to give me anything. Actually, those guys from that neighborhood probably turned me to capitalism. I saw first hand what liberal / social programs do to people. Makes them lazy. “You are living by hand-outs and never rise above the poverty level.

So I am going to return a little “Tough Love” to people who are living in a city like New Orleans.

“If you choose to stay in that neighborhood.. Then in that neighborhood you will stay.”

But.. If you get off the booze and drugs. Get a job. Get out of that city. Change people, places and things that screw your life up. And learn. Learn something new each day. If no one will teach you, teach yourself at the library.

I wanted to close by saying that I have several black friends from that old neighborhood. They stuck up for me and we have watched out for each other ever since. They also got out of that neighborhood. It’s tough, but it can be done. Am I prejudice? I do not think so, but I could be. Am I tough on the poor? Yes. Someone has to be! “If you wait for someone to ‘lift’ you out of the ghetto, it isn’t going to happen. You have to walk out of the ghetto.”

In my travels I will sometimes end up in a bad section of a city. I see the trash on the streets. People giving you the “stink eye.” Guys drinking booze on the street corner. A chill will go up my spine. Then I think of the Seinfeld line...

“I’m only here for a while... You, on the other hand, have chosen to live here”....AR...

You are right. Without going into my whole life history, I had a chance to do or die. Make a life with welfare for my kids, or put myself thru school and look ahead, not back. That was my choice. I never forget "where" I came from. Sometimes I drive thru that part of town, and it is a sober reminder to never forget where I came from... and even at my age, I will continue to learn and experience new things because once I stop... I die.

I saw in an economics book someplace a mathematical formula that proved poverty doesn't exist. It was quite simple, divide the amount of money spent on poverty by the number of people in poverty, the result was something like fifty thousand dollars going towards every person in poverty a year. Of course its absurd to say that poverty doesn't exist cause of this equation, but it shows that money isn't the whole story. But I don't remember the numbers that well.

Conspiracy Theories for Democrats

President Bush probably killed beloved actor Bob Denver.

Actor Sean Penn showed up to help in New Orleans. He had some problems with his performance. A reporter asked Mister Penn what was his problem, Penn replied: "I usually have no problems keeping it up. I can usually keep it up for hours. Today it will not stay up. It's leaking like crazy. "Sean Penn was talking about the boat he brought with him to help rescue survivors. The boat sprung a leak and Mr. Penn was forced to spend a lot of time trying to save the boat. Rumor has it that Bush put the hole in Sean Penn's boat. Someone saw Bush with an 18 volt Sears duel speed cordless drill. It had a 1 inch paddle bit in the chuck. NEED I SAY MORE???

No one has seen the Vice President Dick. There is a theory that the Vice President was fitted with a special wet suit that had a defibrillator for re-starting his heart. The Vice President Dick, hid under water and packed the levees with dynamite. The Vice President Dick blew the levees. REASON= To get his Big Oil Company Buddies jobs fixing stuff. They are trying to fish Dick out of The Gulf of Mexico right now. NEED I SAY MORE???

You will begin to hear Republicans pointing out that New Orleans has been run by Democrats for more than 30 years. Neo-cons will point out that Democrats had plenty of time to fix any problems in New Orleans and they never did. HOWEVER>>>> George Bush was governor of Texas, right next door to Louisiana. He said he had been to New Orleans several times. People have seen Bush coming out of one of those Voo-Doo shops. Bush had a bag full of chicken heads and special MoJo powder. Bush put a hex on the Mayor of New Orleans. NEED I SAY MORE???

Warning.. Continenal Drift

It has become apparent to me that Democrats will not hold a democratic mayor or governor responsible for the aftermath of the New Orleans flooding. People look to blame the nearest Republican. Democrats will step right over the mayor and governor to get at Bush.

This is a heck of a lot of responsibility for us republicans to handle. "Even when we are not elected as mayor of a city, we must still act like we are?" We must watch every city in every state? "There must be thousands of cities in America?" We republicans have to make sure each mayor is ready, prepared and able to handle the natural and man-made disasters lurking out there.

There must be hundreds of disasters to prepare for? If Democrats will not take responsibility for anything, we Republicans will have to get started right now..

One disaster we should prepare for is…. "Continental Drift."

America is drifting west, across the Pacific Ocean and will SLAM into Russia and China.

I.. The Angry Republican, will take this upon myself to warn and inform you folks of any news and info you will need to prepare for this. I will include this info in up-coming posts titled: "Continental Drift Update."

When America SLAMS into Russia, there may be a BANG. The ground may "wiggle." If you are a mayor or governor, you should prepare for this. You have tons of school and Metro busses. "Use them!" Get the sick and elderly away from the west coast. Maybe a handrail could be placed along the West Coast of America so people have something to grab onto.

I, Guido (biff-er) Babonie, suspect that Russia and China will not be happy when we slam into them. That is why I have begun to "reach out" to both China and Russia. I have sent both China and Russia a basket of flowers with a little note that reads: "Sorry for slamming into your country!!" ( Plus, I have written America's insurance policy and license number on the note..)

Scientist believe America will slam into Russia in about 1 billion years…

This should give Democratic Mayors and Governors plenty of time to prepare…AR…

One of the shots I saw on the news was a couple hundred schoolbuses left abandoned at their barn in new orleans. Of course its difficult to manage such operations while your packing your stuff up and heading out of town. My only problem with Bush in this situation is his apointment style, he only nominates his buddies. Its fine to appiont a friend to some positions, but things that involve crisis management you should go and find someone with experience.

Anatomy of a tragedy

I did not do a post on Hurricane Katrina until Friday. My purpose for holding back was because I tend to be very political. Out of respect, I did not want to politicize a tragedy. Now I am forced to politicize a tragedy to defend my president. It is a sad chore. Especially in this day and age of modern society. The first to make a hurricane a political event? The left. The mayor of New Orleans, left leaning bloggers, Rapper Kanye West Claims 'Bush Doesn't Care About Black People', Angelina Jolie Says Efforts for Katrina Victims (are) Not Enough. (Well, that last statement by Angelina I can understand. Efforts are never enough for anything. Plus she is mega- foxy.)

The tragedy of New Orleans started way before Hurricane Katrina. The Mississippi River has tried to change it's course and flow directly into the city for a hundred years. Water seeks the lowest point and New Orleans is a lower point. The Mississippi River not only carries water, it carries soil and debris. This soil builds up at the rivers end. THE RIVER HAS BEEN RAISING IT'S OWN DELTA LEVEL for hundreds of years. Removing soil and building levees are a temporary fix in the grand scheme of things. The river would have gotten high enough to over-come any wall you build. The levee breach was near the lake, which leads us to problem number two: New Orleans is surrounded by water and is sinking 1/2 inch per year.

If you want to blame President Bush for this disaster, you must also blame other American Presidents who also had opportunities to fix New Orleans levee system. This is not the first time New Orleans has flooded. Each time it floods, people rebuild the city and put up better levees. I am sure we will rebuild New Orleans again. This time we will put up a 'state of the art' levee system. How long will that last?

Louisiana had 6,000 active National Guard personal who could have responded to this disaster. 1,000 state police where at the governor's disposal. "But someone in the state had to call them to action." Not after the flood. BEFORE the hurricane arrived. 42 hours before the hurricane hit New Orleans, everyone knew that Katrina was heading for the city. Governor Kathleen Babineaux Blanco needed to call these 7,000 guards and state police to New Orleans before the storm hit. Nobody knows a city better then the mayor. It was his job to see that the sick and elderly were taken care of. (Way before this storm arrived I might add.)

In this country of the free, you have the right to do daring things. You have the right to climb the highest mountain, jump off a cliff and parachute to the base. You have the right to build a skyscraper on a fault line, build a house on a loosely packed hillside. You can live in a city that is 6 feet below sea level, build a house in a place called "Tornado Alley."

In a free country, if you choose to live in a place that could flood, can you blame the President of the United States because he didn't stop you, or remove you, or save you, or help you fast enough?…AR…

Stupid people do stupid things, but, if they are democrats, it's not their fault, and its up to other people to take care of them and straighten out the mess they created.

comment by oldfatguy

I don't understand the propensity toward politicizing a natural disaster. I think you raise points that are sure to be discussed for years to come in our media and by our politicians; but I'd prefer we all talk about what we do now as a country and as fellow humans about the issues at hand - as history will take care of assigning blame.

comment by libelsering

Maybe because they were too poor to have radios or TVs? Or perhaps it was because they were too poor to afford a way out of town? Or maybe it was because they had nowhere else to go?Yes, I'm sure there were idiots who stuck around and have only themselves to blame. But to lay blanket-blame on everyone caught in the city during the flooding...Hopefully you've seen the sick and the injured being transported out of the city. How were they to leave, prior to the storm?

comment by vitriolaholic

There is plenty of blame to go around but let us also do what the liberals say we should never do, blame the victims for being a large part of the problem. There are outlaws in New Orleans shooting and setting fires which is hampering relief efforts. There are people who chose to remain in New Orleans. There are people who refuse to queue for food or transportation which means extra manpower is needed which means less manpower for food distribution. A mess.

The Check

I was getting ready to write out a check for the Red Cross to help out with the efforts in New Orleans. I paused while I heard reports of looting. "People where stealing food, water and shoes." I rationalized this by saying that these people were taking things to survive. I began writing the check. I filled out the date and was just about to fill in the amount.. A report came over the TV that women were being raped in the Super Dome shelter. This I couldn't rationalize. Rape has nothing to do with surviving. Looters were shooting at police. Police were looting stores. Other police officers turned in their badges and quit. PEOPLE WERE SHOOTING AT RESCUE HELICOPTERS. I set the pen down and slid the checkbook aside. I said to myself: "Florida gets hit with several hurricanes each year, you do not see this kind of "Wild West" mentality." In Florida, people in trouble help each other. Why would I help someone who doesn't even help themselves?

Then I saw a man in tears. During the levee breach, he tried to hang on to his wife's hand to save her. He couldn't hold on, she is gone. There are so many people suffering in New Orleans. I began writing out the check, again. Then the mayor of New Orleans, Ray Nagin began yelling at me. Telling me that I should have been ready to help HIS city. Nagin lectured me that..: "Drugs flowed in and out of New Orleans and the surrounding metropolitan area so freely it was scary to me, and that's why we were having the escalation in murders. People don't want to talk about this, but I'm going to talk about it. You have drug addicts that are now walking around this city looking for a fix…"

Well, isn't now a tad bit too late to fix your cities drug habit. You, Mayor Nagin, were the one calling all available police to stop looking for survivors and go round up looters. The officers in the streets had no place to take criminals. No one thought ahead. 93 members of the San Diego search and rescue team had to sit on the sideline all day Thursday waiting for orders. They couldn't go into the city Mister Mayor, your administration evacuated all search efforts. Why didn't you call the governor and get the State Police ahead of time. "Why did it get so bad so fast?" The reverend Al Sharpton told me this was a black thing. If these were white people, they wouldn't be standing on rooftops waiting for help. I closed the checkbook and shut the TV off.

I headed off to work. I listened to the radio and heard wonderful stories of Americans pulling together. The city of Youngstown Ohio has set up 7 semi trucks, fueled and ready. Bread companies, bottled water companies and private citizens are filling these semi's full of supplies. I got home early from work and I grabbed the checkbook. As I was signing my name on the check, I put Blogster on and happened to see a post in which a person is reciting Michael Moore. Moore is blaming the hurricane on President Bush. Well, the lack of helicopters to help with survivors. There was also a complete transcript of New Orleans Mayor Nagin's interview. Reading the mayor's words, I began to realize that he never blames himself. Everyone else is to blame. You, me, the president, the governor. All are to blame because WE should have acted quicker.

I decided I will stop looking at Liberal left-wing propaganda until I can get this check mailed out to the Red Cross. My check will not amount to much. It is just a drop in the bucket. But it means something.

New Orleans was hit with three disasters.

1. A hurricane
2. A city built 4 to 6 feet below sea level
3. A complete social breakdown of massive proportions. The governor, the mayor and the residents didn't heed the warnings.

I believe reason number three is what did the most damage…AR…

Here are some comments from other Bloggers....

And the race card, isn't that always the way. Can't we just for one time be color blind. Everyone. Because this is so widespread that the black leaders who are just complaining are really making themselves look stupid.Oh, yes, I read that post from Rubyrocks and I don't think that Moore actually blamed the hurricane on Bush. I think he was blaming him for Iraq and the lack of money available here and the lack of National Guard troops here. (I went back to read it again to make sure) I ain't saying I agree with him, on anything, but he didn't say bush caused the hurricane.

I don't think any of you have the right to tell someone who's been sleeping next to dead bodies for 5 days without food and water how they are supposed to behave or react. There was a massive failure here at all levels of government, and it really makes me angry. Bush was doing photo-ops playing golf and playing guitar the day after the hurricane, which should really piss off any republican or democrat. The federal help came 5 days late! Funding to the Army Corps of Engineers to upgrade the New Orleans levees was cut back 3 years in a row! I can't blame the mayor for being angry as his city is virtually in ruins and from his point of view, nobody seems to care.I'm writing my cheque as well, and hopefully mine and your drop in the bucket will help someone get to safety a bit faster.

comment by liberalfreak

Hey, if you want to be angry at Bush because New Orleans was not prepared for a cat-5 hurricane. That's your right. I can remember a Discovery Channel special 12 years ago warning of the levee system in New Orleans. This wasn't a new problem. Hell, the native Indians warned the French not to build a settlement at the end of the river. The Mississippi River has always been prone to flooding.
Bush WAS on vacation. You and others keep reminding us of that. Mayor Nagin was where?? Was he on vacation?? Do you know?? I hadn't seen him. You do realize that congress had to vote on the federal funding. They too were on vacation. They all came back and the 10.5 Billion will be coming.
You of all people should not be asking for a Republican President to head into a Democratic Mayor's city and start barking orders..: "OK mayor, you can go now. I want 500 busses, we will remove everybody. If they are not smart enough to leave, we will FORCE THEM. Club them on the head and throw them into the busses. Your police force, they are mine now. I want a line of cops drawn around the crack houses. We will turn the library into a jail. Mister mayor, move out of the way, I President Bush, am in charge…"
You can blame Bush for not fixing the levees. I can blame Clinton for not fixing the levees. "What good will this do?
I can tell you two things Liberal Freak. In 1990, I arrived in LA with $20 bucks in my pocket. I had nothing and I slept outside. I used a pay phone number as my home phone to apply for jobs. I begged and I got a job. I worked hard and made it. So this isn't no "rich guy" who doesn't know what it is like. If I would have been poor, with no car, and living in New Orleans. If someone told me a level 5 hurricane was heading for me. No matter how poor I was. I would have walked my ass right out of town.
Anyone who drove or walked out of New Orleans survived and didn't go hungry…AR…

A sad day for Suge Knight

What is this world coming to when a gangster rap mogul can't even head out to an MTV Awards party without being shot in the leg. Suge Knight has been an up-standing member of the community, well, except for going to jail for 5 years for beating a rival gang member.. Oh, and also he could have been involved in the slain rapper Notorious B.I.G. death. Plus he promotes songs with violent lyrics. Oh, and other Rappers have accused him of ripping them off of cash. BUT, other then that.. Who would want to shoot Suge Knight?

Celebrities who attended the MTV party included West, actress Jessica Alba and comedian Eddie Murphy, but it was unclear whether they were still there when the shooting took place.
Knight co-founded the pioneering rap label Death Row Records and hit the charts in the 1990s with West Coast stars including Snoop Dogg and Tupac Shakur.

MTV clearly posts a sign at the front door that states: "No guns allowed." Someone didn't follow that rule and took their gun into the MTV party. They blew a cap into poor Suge's backside. Mr. Knight went down like a sack of potatoes.

MTV is now thinking about putting a bigger sign up which will now read: "No guns.. Please" This may help with the confusion in the future.

The gunman is described as an African-American wearing a pink shirt. Anyone in Blog Land seeing an African-American wearing a pink shirt should call the authorities. (or at least tell this guy: "Dude, pick another color!)

Bits & Bites

Forget about democrat and republican for a minute. We are all Americans while you read this…

The mission "Able Danger" which was an intelligence mission, identified key terrorists before Sept 11, 2001. Some people want to blame Clinton for not paying attention while others point to Bush. But.. What if terrorists have found that they can slip into this country during the switch-over of a president. When America changes presidents, many top officials in the pentagon also switch over. Part of December, January and February are a confusing time in the state dept, pentagon and the White House. People are using up vacation time, cleaning out their desks, etc.

Remember the first attack at the world trade tower? Early in the Clinton presidency-1993. Just after a presidential switch-over. Plus, there was NO attack after the 2004 election. No major changes were being done at the pentagon or the administration. If this is correct.. I hope the people in charge pay attention during December 2008, January and February 2009. I hope they are not too busy cleaning out their desks and planing a big trip to Hawaii.

OK.. Go back to hating liberals and conservatives!!

***************************************

A study at UC Berkeley shows that conservatives fall asleep better at night and do not wake up as much in the middle of the night. Liberals have a hard time getting to sleep, they toss and turn. Conservatives get better rest and have lucid dreams. Liberals tend to have nightmares and thoughts of homosexuality. This is no joke! This was a study done at the Berkeley sleep lab.
We took this study a bit further and found out that conservatives make decisions and stick to them. They get jobs and they keep them. They set goals and reach them. This might explain why conservatives have no anxiety and fall asleep. Liberals tend to dwell in a gray area, not ever really making up their minds on anything. They constantly complain about the economy, environment and bugs. When we are winning a war in Iraq, liberals say we should pull out. No wonder they are tossing and turning.Maybe parents could use this study. If their children are having trouble sleeping and the kids can't make up their minds on anything, parents could send these children to a special school that could absolve them of liberalism while they are still young.

Old Pat Robertson is in hot water.
Funny, I can remember several liberals making a comment that we could have sent a hit squad into Iraq and killed Saddam instead of going to war with the whole country. Nobody ever bats an eye when a liberal suggests this. But when a religious person or a conservative speaks like this, it's the end of the world, "stop the press" get those cameras rolling. It was all over the news.
What this proves is that conservatives are held to a higher standard. That is why people are so "shocked" when a conservative or religious person would say this. With a liberal, nobody expects much from him or her so when they say something shocking, it never makes the news.

Keep taking the high road republicans. This is why we win elections…AR…

American Style

Gathering no moss...

The Rolling Stones have a tour coming up in America starting in Boston on August 21. The concert tour is promoting their new CD- "A Bigger Bang." One of the songs on the CD is titled: "Sweet Neo-con."

I would like to give you two lines from the song:

"How come you''re so wrong? My sweet neo-con, where''s the money gone, in the Pentagon,"
"It''s liberty for all, democracy''s our style, unless you are against us, then it''s prison without trial."

You might think this would bother me. But it doesn''t. Mick Jagger and Keith Richards are aging liberals and have made it known. This song doesn''t surprise me. What does surprise me is Mick Jagger going on the "Extra" TV show and denying this song has anything to do with President Bush.

When asked, Mick replied: "It is not really aimed at anyone…" Jagger continued: "It''s not aimed, personally aimed, at President Bush. It wouldn''t be called ''Sweet Neo Con'' if it was."

This is America, you can say what you want. But at least back up what you say. By denying this has anything to do with Bush, The Rolling Stones are proving they care about MONEY much more then any message they wrote in a song….AR…

Cindy Sheehan

This is a sad situation. I could not even begin to know what it would be like to lose a son in a war. Especially if you do not believe in that war. I do not blame her for what she is doing. In America, she has every right to protest even if she is being induced by Michael Moore and she change her story, that doesn''t matter to me.

I feel that when you make the decision to run for president and if you feel you must send soldiers into battle, this is something you may have to deal with.

I have heard that Cindy Sheehan is considering moving the protesters, which now are about 100 people, closer to the president''s door. This of course would be illegal. It doesn''t matter who is the president, George Bush or Bill Clinton, you can not march up to the president''s front door. I fear this will cause the Secret Service to react. I hate to see this get even worse then it already has.Cindy Sheehan has made her thoughts known. Very well I might add. But if she bolts across the Secret Service line and starts a riot, I would begin to wonder if this WAS more of a publicity stunt and less about honoring Casey''s memory.

Casey did enlist in the military. His wish was he wanted to be a military chaplain. Casey volunteered for this dangerous mission. To rescue wounded soldiers. 20 went out, 13 came back. He gave his life for America. Casey has done more for this country than I ever have…AR….

HOPE

Well, I did something I probably shouldn't have done. I went and checked out some of the liberal blogs. This is so funny to me. In a conversation that had nothing to do with God or religion, an atheist liberal brings up God and religion. I started checking around Blogster and more atheist liberals were taking about religion and God. "Am I missing something?? Didn't you guy's fight hard to get God and religion out of schools and government? You talk more about God than I do."

I wasn't going to do a post on religion today. But with so many atheist liberals talking about God, they have made God a "current event."

''Separation of church and state'' means that it is OK to talk about religion in schools. As long as you are saying bad things about religion. If you talk about the Crusades, that's OK because it is History, (and of course it is an example of how BAD religion is). If you are talking about the Spanish Inquisition, it is OK to mention GOD. BUT, Don''t you dare say anything GOOD ABOUT GOD. They will kick you out of the Liberal cheese club quicker then you can say: "Can I clean out my desk first?" (They have very open minds in that liberal party.) The Bible is history. You may not believe what is written inside, but the Bible has been read by more people then any other book ever written. IT IS PART OF HISTORY.

Now.. If I were an educator, and I decided to teach young students about the German people and Germany. I would teach it this way..

Ok.. This guy named Hitler came along.. He was a bad egg. He killed a bunch of people. Then he grabbed power. He printed up a bunch of money to build roads and factories and tanks and planes. Then he attacked everybody. People got ticked off and attacked him back. Hitler shot himself in the head, or maybe he took poison. The Russians got hold of his head and they have Hitler's head somewhere in Russia. That is the story of Germany and the German people…

This is ridiculous, in no way does this teaching resemble the true Germany. I have taken only a slice of history and given it to my students. Ridiculous yes, but it takes place in American schools everyday. Kids learn nothing about the GOOD religion has done. They only learn about the bad.

Religion is Deep in American history. Early towns that grew up near creeks and roads and railroad crossings had no federal funds to rely on. PEOPLE PAID NO TAXES. (Unless they bought foreign goods.) These towns would build a church. That church would double as a schoolhouse. Do you think the pioneers were worried that a religious teacher was educating their children.. HELL NO. They were happy someone would teach them to read and write. Some towns did build a separate schoolhouse or the church would donate their old building. But many of the teachers were still giving Bible lessons.

Out of these religious type schoolhouses grew the most powerful nation the world has ever seen.

Religion is not the evil. Certain people are. Let's look at more religious influences:

Martin Luther King
JFK
Jimmy Carter
The YMCA- One of the first groups to bring inner city kids a recreation center. I spent many hours there as a kid. No one ever PREACHED to me.
Soup Kitchens
Homeless shelters
Ethnic Block Parties
A second chance at life
Hope to slaves in Egypt

This list could go on forever, because the church never stops giving….AR…
