Science gets Expelled

Do you feel that if you wear a sweater inside your house to keep warm, you can make the Arctic ice shelf stop melting?

Do you believe that if you drive your car less often, you can stop hurricanes and forest fires from happening?

It sounds silly when you think of it in that way.

However, you are not alone.

All through history people have believed some wild things. Men once believed that if they sailed too far out into the ocean, they would fall off the edge of the world.

Let me tell you about something that I believed since I was a child and just recently found out to be untrue:

All my life I believed that Galileo was thrown into prison by the Church because he believed the earth was NOT the center of the universe.

This is completely false.

The church never confronted Galileo on his scientific research. It wasn't until Galileo began to publicly decipher the Bible, which in those days was not permitted, without confiding in the church- first, that Galileo was arrested.

Galileo was never thrown in jail.

He was confined to his house, (which was a huge house) and he continued to work on his scientific theories. The church never bothered him again.

See, Galileo was a member of the church and therefore church rules applied to him.

Most famous scientists believed in religion.

Almost all of them. From Darwin, to Albert Einstein. From Galileo to Copernicus.(Matter of fact, Copernicus was the Deacon of his church.)

Actually, (and this is really wild) it was a Catholic Priest who first presented the theory that the universe is expanding outwards from "some beginning."

In 1927, Joseph Éduard Lemaître, using facts he obtained from years of viewing the sky with his telescope, presented his theory of an expanding universe. Albert Einstein refused to believe this expanding universe theory because Einstein held on to the belief that the universe was stagnant. (Unchanging.)

When most men would walk by and pay no attention to the night sky, it was religious people who began to chart the heavens. It was religious people who started mapping out the sky and created astronomy. Giving special names to the planets that they could see with the naked eye. Names we still use today like Mars and Venus.

It was religious people, who thought that they were naming Gods, who started us on this scientific journey to discover "who we are."

It has been said that science tries to discover "how things work." Religion tries to discover "why things work." This was very true in the past. For most, if not all, great scientists were religious. (And remained religious until their death.)

Today, I'm not so sure people understand this symbiotic relationship.

As I travel around this great blog world, I find many non- religious people who believe that they are the "cats ass."

Cats ass

- (definition) Free thinking intellectuals.

They believe religion garrotes scientific study. Which is not the case. Had Galileo NOT believed in God, he would have been an outsider. He would have never had the money to own a telescope, let alone perfect it. Galileo needed religion to fund his studies, because no one else had that kind of money.

Liberal non-believers have their ears closed.

I have been called a "flat-earther", a Jesus freak, and ignorant because I believe in God.

Years ago, when I first started blogging, I would argue with these people. I would remind them that Darwin believed in God and actually dropped his evolution theory and dedicated the remainder of his life to God.

It doesn't matter to these people. They believe religion, all religion is wrong. Could you imagine a person saying that all Black people are criminals? But today, you have many people in the blog world claiming that all religion is evil. That religion is the cause of humanities suffering.

"Free thinkers" who do not have much freedom in thought.

I do not have much time for the non-believer who calls me ignorant. For I know where all science derives from. It comes from one person reaching out in this world. It has little to do with a belief in God, or if the person is male or female, white or black.

With that said

, I have given some thought to fighting with people who believe in "man made" global warming. I will still point out factual errors in the theory and fight a stupid greenhouse gas tax. But I am not going to fight with the"greens."If you believe that walking to work, instead of driving your car, will save the polar bears…

That's fine with me.

Walking is great exercise and you will save money not buying gas.

Besides, walking to work will give you time to think. And just like ancient man who thought he was naming the Gods. (But in reality, he was inventing astronomy.) Maybe while walking to work, you will ponder cancer and come up with a cure.

Maybe, while you are sitting in your dark house with the TV turned off, (to save the Australian Hissing Frog) you will become bored and write a great novel. Without the distractions of a computer, iPod, and cell phone- you might paint a masterpiece. (On recycled canvas, of course.)

So walk to work.

Turn off that TV.The polar bears thank you.

Obama-isms

(Things Obama can say. But you or I would be fired if we said the same thing.)

Obama-isms are a neat thing and a great gift held by one man.

Only Obama could ever say some of these things.

For example:

If I said: "..Obama is a 'typical Black man', he fears people who are not like him.."

I would be run out of town. I would be called a racist and I would be threatened.

However, Obama can say these things with ease.

Obama claims that getting pregnant is like a punishment, in the lines of getting a sexually transmitted disease.

No one on the left, nor many in the media condemned this statement of Obama's, so I must assume that many democrats also view a "baby" as punishment.

Obama believes people in small towns are "bitter." Obama believes that we are so "bitter" that we "cling to our guns and religion", (like a bunch of Hillbillies) and we take this "bitterness" out on immigrants and people who are not like us.

Obama, we are not "bitter."

In fact, the folks in Pennsylvania believed in the 2^nd Amendment and we respected "freedom of religion" long before Illinois became a State in the Union.

So, in honor of the many "Obama-isms" that have been created by Obama thus far. (Just think about how many more are to come. We have 6 months until the general election.)We have a collection of "Obama-isms" set to bumper stickers. Ready for you to cut and paste to "sticky paper" and place around town.

Normally, (being a self- absorbed capitalist) I would sell these bumper stickers to Flea Market vendors and T-shirt shops. However, since I am a "typical BITTER White person" from Pennsylvania, I thought I would give them away.

I have made these stickers "easy to steal." Just (right click) your mouse over the sticker. A menu should appear asking if you want to "save the picture." Click that. Save as a "Jpeg image" and give it a file name.

At this point, you should be able to "insert" the sticker in Microsoft Word, or any printable program. You should also be able to expand the sticker to a larger size by "clicking the image" and pulling it bigger.

You will now need "sticky paper." You can buy it at Wal- Mart, or Staples, etc. Usually called "label paper," it fits into your printer. (Do not buy small, pre-cut labels. Buy full sheet- label paper.)

Congratulations..!!

(Though, I wouldn't recommend placing any of these stickers on a liberal democrat's car. That would be a mean thing to do.)

Since we are on the topic of Obama…

This next video was the "MOST viewed" of the Angry Republican Video Broadcasts.

The idea for this video came to me when I remembered how wacky liberals tried to claim President Reagan was the "Anti-Christ", when Reagan was running for his second term.

These liberals said Reagan would push the "button" and attack Russia, bringing on the Armageddon. The letters in his name added up to 666, so Reagan must be the Anti- Christ.

I thought it would be fun to claim that one of the democrats was the Anti-Christ. (I picked Obama only because he "was" the leader in this presidential race.)

It is just a parody. Do NOT take it seriously.

The character I play in these videos is not really who I am. (If you saw me on the street, you would not recognize me.) AR Babonie, in the videos, is a cross between Leone Redbone, Doctor Johnny Fever (From the TV show- WKRP in Cincinnati), and some Right Wing talk show host. (If you can combine all those elements.)

So- Obama supporters, do not get too mad at this video. It is just a little payback for what your liberal piers did to Ronald Reagan in 1984.

Generally, when a liberal wants to attack you, (which they will often) they might use the term "neo-con."

Neo con- meaning: New Conservative, was a term created by liberals to describe a "straw man". Some liberal, with a couple more brain cells then most, realized the term "neo" meant "new", but it was also associated with Hitler, as in Neo Nazis. It has become a cute little sound bite to claim conservatives are like Hitler.

Liberals created the term "neo con".

It is your classic "straw man" tactic. Build a straw man image of ALL conservatives and then tear that straw man down.

But is there anything NEW about modern conservatives?

One thing that comes to mind; under the Bush administration we spent way too much money on government programs and pork projects. But for the life of me, I can not understand why liberals would condemn that? The platform of Obama and Hillary is built on government programs and pork projects.Other than that, is the modern conservative movement really new..??

Not really.

Is the modern liberal movement "neo liberalism"..??

Do modern liberals follow in the footsteps of liberals from the past..??

That is the question I wanted to answer today.

Most conservatives believe in a smaller government. President Reagan believed that the government should get out of the way and allow the people of America to excel. Barry Goldwater and William F Buckley reinforce these principals many years ago. You can trace these principals back to the beginning of the conservative movement.

Conservatives believe in lower taxes to stimulate the economy. Nothing has changed there.

Conservatives believe that the power to "lift you up, is within you." No government or human force can make you a better person if you are not willing to work for it. Nothing has changed with this attitude.

Conservatives believe that we MUST have a strong military and we should not allow America to be bullied by tyrants. You see this trait in President Reagan and the republicans who voted with democratic President FDR to help fight the Nazi's and Japan.

Conservatives have always loved America and they are not ashamed to show it in public.

Let's take a look at liberals and see if there is anything "neo" about the direction they have taken.

Modern liberal democrats believe you should run away from terrorists. They are afraid to confront radical Islam. Instead they want to make deals with radical Islam. (Obama wanting to meet with Iran and President Carter wanting to meet with Hamas.)This is new. This is "neo."

President Johnson would not have made deals with terrorists. FDR would never have run away from Hitler. I do NOT believe JFK would have met with a third world dictator. What was it that JFK said… "we will oppose any foe. We will help any friend.."

Your "neo liberals" of today no longer subscribe to this philosophy. They are not willing to oppose anyone. (Other then fellow Americans.)

JFK lowered taxes and truly believed that government should not interfere in Americans lives. This all changed with President Carter. These "neo liberals" like Bill Clinton, Obama and Hillary believe the government should be a babysitter. The government should be a traffic cop because you Americans cannot be trusted to help each other. The modern liberals believe that you will not help the environment, or plan out your health care needs, so "daddy government" should plan out your life for you.

This is a new trait in the Democratic Party. It is "neo liberal."

I believe that before President Johnson, you never heard liberals cutting down America. You never heard them say America is wrong about anything. Sure, America has made mistakes, but not with evil intentions.

However, after the hippie movement and President Carter, many liberals cannot find anything America has done right. They talk about how Europe is better socially or that Cuba has better medicine. They come up with "grand conspiracies" about how America is stealing oil or how America blew up WT Tower 7 to hide the tax forms of Enron.

Hell, singer Alicia Keys believes the "White Man" created rap music to kill off the "Black Man."

(And all this time I thought The Sugar Hill Gang recorded the first rap record..??)

This kind of thinking is new to the Democratic Party. It is "neo liberal."

This editorial could be turned into a book because the research is so plentiful. But just with the few points I have made here, you can see that conservatism has not changes much in the last 50 years. There isn't much that is new.

However, liberal democrats have changed drastically since the 60's and President Carter. The whole image of a liberal is "neo" to what it once was.

Really, today, we are talking about "old conservatism."

And "Neo Liberalism."

That would be more accurate, if you want to use facts.

Building a better "straw man."

I get accused of creating a "straw man" when I talk about liberals.

I might say something like; "liberals talk about saving the earth and conserving fuel, but then they hop into big jets and fly around, burning up more fuel in one day then most Americans will in a year."

A liberal will claim I have created a "straw man" with that statement. But that isn't true because there are actual people like Al Gore or John Travolta who do just that. They talk about saving the earth but they waste more power than a small town does.

Even on a small scale: liberal bloggers will say that we should save the earth by conserving. I will tell these liberal bloggers to quit driving their cars and get off the Internet. Just running their computers is causing the electric company to burn more coal to provide the electricity to run your computer.

There is no "straw man" built by me with those two statements These are real people who you can prove are hypocritical. I can name the bloggers and direct you to the posts and comments. We have video proof of Al Gore riding in big private jets.

However, liberals do create a huge "straw man."

As I showed in the editorial above, just the term "neo con" is a straw man because there is not much that is new about the conservative movement.

But a popular favorite of liberals is to cl.. "Bush and Cheney are in the pockets of oil companies and they started this war in Iraq to get rich."

That statement is a huge lie because it cannot be proven.

Both Bush and Cheney sold all of their stock in oil companies before they ran for office. President Bush's tax returns for last year showed that Bush's made $923,807. ($150,000 of it was from Laura Bush's children's book she wrote.)The Clinton's, on the other hand, made $109 million dollars since leaving office. I'm too lazy to reference this, but I believe the Clinton's have more money than George H Bush, George W Bush, and Dick Cheney combined.

This is a "straw man" that democrats build up. They claim republican politicians are "rich fat cat corporate people." But the fact is; liberal politicians are the richest members of congress, with Kerry and Kennedy leading the pack.

This claim that Bush is getting rich from the Iraq war is a complete lie and a "straw man" tactic because there is no evidence, being filed in an American court, to show that this is true. It is all based on hearsay, which cannot be proven in court.

The older I get I am finding out something to be true…

When a democrat claims: "Bush lied, Bush lied.."Shortly after, you will hear BOTH Hillary and Obama pull off some of the biggest lies to come down the pike.

When liberals poke fun at republican Larry Craig for tapping his foot in a men's restroom, you will have two democratic governors of New York involved in some kind of sex scandal.

If you have liberals accusing republicans of taking oil company money, you will find Hillary Clinton taking money from the Chinese.

If you hear liberals claim republicans are racist and homophobic. You will see Obama refuse to be interviewed by a gay lifestyle magazine. Obama will claim that people in Pennsylvania are "bitter and cling to their guns and religion." You will hear Obama say "typical white" person and his reverend will use language about Whites that I do not even want to go into now.

It is almost like every terrible thing that liberals claim republicans are doing, liberals are already doing it.

"Neo Liberals" build straw men.

Conservatives point out actual hypocrisy on both sides of the political fence.

Neo Liberals will never point out hypocrisy of their own party.

(Fact) Liberals will NEVER condemn Obama for sitting in that church for twenty years, listening to the racist Rev Wright. (Fact) Democrats will not say a word about liberal- Michael Lacey, the owner of the liberal paper "The Village Voice" when he used the word "n***r."

So it is with great pleasure that I announce…

"Neo liberalism" will die soon.

Americans will not stand for the kinds of taxes that these "neo liberals" are talking about. Real liberals like JFK and Johnson would never crush the American middle class with this high of a tax burden.

"Neo Liberalism" is dead.

Americans do not want some freaky government that peaks into your windows to see what kind of light bulbs you are using. How high your house thermostat is set at. How powerful the motor is in your car. What doctor you can visit and when.

Americans want freedom and liberty.

They will not except "neo liberalism."

Neo Liberalism is dead.

President Carter poisoned Liberalism, Bill Clinton drove a stake into the heart of liberalism by running one of the most corrupt presidencies in modern times and getting himself impeached. The unproven science of "man made" global warming drove the nails into the coffin of "neo liberalism."

Obama- mania continues with more Obama-isms

Obama said this:

"…You go into these small towns in Pennsylvania, and like a lot of small towns in the Midwest, the jobs have been gone now for 25 years and nothing's replaced them…"

Aaahh, Obama…

We have jobs here in Pennsylvania. We are not standing in the soup lines waiting for YOU to save us. What the hell are you talking about?

You better start talking to us…

Instead of talking "down" to us.

Obama continues…

"…And they fell through the Clinton administration, and the Bush administration, and each successive administration has said that somehow these communities are gonna regenerate and they have not. So it's not surprising then that they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren't like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations…"

You have just got to love this..!!

Obama had several great speeches early on that were well written, well rehearsed, and very well delivered.

However, out on the campaign trail, he is falling on his face. Obama cannot string several sentences together without insulting someone.

Hillary has a slight lead here in Pennsylvania. However, when this latest "Obama-ism" gets around to folks here in Pennsylvania, we are not going to take too kindly to it.

Being called a "gun carrying, Bible thumping person who is out of work. Looking for the government to save us. And because we are "so bitter", we cannot tolerate anyone else (of a different color..??)

Obama- you might want to cover your ears. What I am about to say isn't pretty.

Pennsylvania is called the "State of Independence." This is where it all started, Bubba. This dream of freedom didn't start in Chicago; it didn't originate in Los Angeles. It started in Philadelphia. Pennsylvania has two major, world- class cities with people of all color living side by side. It's been that way for hundreds of years.

In the middle, Pennsylvania has hard working people..

Oh yes, Obama. We have jobs. We work.

These people get more work done in one growing season, than Obama will in a lifetime.

Some of us own guns. Some do not.

Some of us believe in God. Some do not.

Some of us folks in Pennsylvania are republicans. Some are democrats.

But one thing we are NOT, is racist.

Pennsylvania has tunnels and old houses that were part of the "Underground Railroad", in which many of our great-grand parents tried to help slaves become free.

Don't you ever come to my state and call the people of Pennsylvania "racist."

Obama, why don't you visit Gettysburg? How many young farmers from Pennsylvania lost their lives on that bloody battlefield? Tens of thousands of young men died there, so that all men could be free. I will set up a tour for you, Obama. We have tours of Gettysburg going on right now.

In conclusion, Mr. Obama, the only racist I have seen in the past couple of weeks has been your preacher.

I still haven't received any kind of apology from you.

In the future, please refrain from calling the people of Pennsylvania- "gun carrying racists."

Let's drop the stereo types.

BEEP Bonics- Understanding Liberals

You have visited on a very special day. This is our:

Have you noticed the "left" is starting to use a different language..??

Most Americans speak clearly, and we can understand what it is they are saying. But liberals have started a language that is NOT easy to decipher.

It reminds me of "Ebonics." Except the left is using a BEEP noise.

Jane Fonda

will be on a TV show and things are going OK. Then, all of a sudden, I will hear a "BEEP" sound. Fonda said something that got BEEPED off the air.

I must then try and figure out what word she used.

"Did Jane Fonda use the C-Word..??"

After I have eliminated all the words that could not fit into the sentence that Ms. Fonda was using, I can narrow it down to one or two words.

"Ms. Fonda DID use the C-Word." (Women HATE the C-Word..!!)

So now, after I have narrowed it down to a couple of words that Ms. Fonda could have used in that sentence, I then have to try and figure out WHY she said what she said, when she said it..??

It is a terribly distracting chore and by the time I have deciphered what Jane Fonda really said, I have lost track of any point Ms. Fonda was trying to make.

It is like Ebonics.

But it is with a "BEEP."

It is- BEEP Bonics.

It happened again with Air America Radio host Randi Rhodes.

Ms. Rhodes said that Hillary Clinton was a "BEEP" whore.

OK.. First I have to try and figure out what word got beeped. Did Randi use the word- "Bitch?"As in- Hillary is a "Bitch" whore.

No..

Double negative. That doesn’t make sense.

"Did Randi Rhodes use the C-Word..??"

No, that doesn’t make sense either. (Though I have heard an angry female call another female a BEEP Whore.)So when you have figured out what Randi Rhodes actually said, you then must try and figure WHY she said it.

(Being drunk and stupid comes to mind here…)

Because Randi Rhodes used "BEEP Bonics", whatever point she was trying to make was lost in the process.

(Other than the fact that Randi was drunk, stupid, and she hates Hillary Clinton.)

Any lasting thoughts on why Obama should be elected president were lost because Ms. Rhodes used- "BEEP Bonics."

Is this what we can expect if a liberal is elected president..??

4 years of angry liberals using "BEEP Bonics" and we have to figure out what they said and why they said it?

On a sad note…

Charlton Heston died last night, he was 84.

Charlton Heston won the 1959 best actor Oscar for playing "Ben-Hur." He also portrayed Moses and Michelangelo in other movies.

I saw most of those movies later on, because we didn’t have video movie rentals in those days and I was too young to go to the movies when they were first released.

Charlton Heston grabbed my generation by playing a very risky role in a movie about talking monkeys.

Can you imagine the "pitch" for the movie- "The Planet of the Apes"???"Yea, Mister Heston. We have this space movie. You will be flying on a spaceship. Then we have a bunch of talking monkeys. It will be great..!!"

It did end up being great..!! I believe "Planet of the Apes" ended up having 4 or 5 sequels.

Charlton Heston became one of the highest paid actors of his day. Filming movies such as "Earthquake" and "Airport 1975."

Charlton Heston became more conservative, when most in Hollywood were turning to liberalism. Mr. Heston admits to voting for JFK and Johnson, but during the 70"s and 80’s, he became a conservative. I can relate to that because it was during the 80’s and President Reagan, that I became a conservative as well.

I have never known a major celebrity who defended the 2^nd Amendment greater than Charlton Heston.

Heston defended the 2^nd Amendment to such a degree, that liberals attacked Charlton Heston in a terrible- childish fashion. (I am not even going to venture over to The Daily Kos or The Huffer Post today. I do not want to read what those idiots will say about the passing of Mr. Heston.)One of my last memories of Charlton Heston was in the Michael Moore movie- Bowling for Columbine. Moore asked if he could interview Charlton Heston and Mr. Heston gracefully allowed it. (Heston had no idea who Moore was. He thought it was an interview about films.)

Moore began to question Heston about the NRA and gun control. Heston politely said he didn’t want to talk about it. He then told Moore the interview was over.

At that point, we all found out Charlton Heston was suffering from Alzheimer’s disease.

Any, rational, caring person would have cut that section from their movie after learning about Heston’s Alzheimer’s.

But not Michael Moore…

The typical angry liberal Moore kept that scene in the movie. (Why? It served no purpose? Other than to degrade a fine American.)

I thought about ending this story with a great picture of Charlton Heston when he was young. Maybe playing Ben Hur.

But I think it would be better to end this editorial with the one thing Charlton Heston defended with all his might.

Defended it to the point where it ended his Hollywood Career.

It was billed as the most exciting presidential race in our lifetime. (I have even commented as such.)But like a relative who’s visits and stays too long..

This election is wearing me down.

We are seeing TOO MUCH of these presidential candidates and getting sick of all of them.

Hillary Clinton

moved to the right of Obama. (Not a bad idea) Except, Hillary cannot seem to be able to tell the truth. If she cannot remember whether she received sniper fire in Bosnia, she is forgetting what she said and when she said it.

Anyone who still supports the Clinton’s will now have to deal with the fact that they have made $109 million dollars since Bill left office. $50 (plus) million came from Bill Clinton’s lectures- (Many lectures overseas in countries that are NOT pro-American.) Millions were donated to charity. Which is a sizable amount. But much of it was donated to the Clinton Foundation. (OK, that might be above board, but-) 13 million* is unaccountable- (* at the time of writing this editorial.)

Do the Clinton’s "really feel your pain?"

John McCain

- who should be using this "free time" (with no real challengers), to win over us conservatives. He knows that many of us have questions about his form of governing.Will he be liberal or conservative?Instead- McCain is traveling around; pissing conservatives off by talking about liberal programs like "global warming" and punishing successful companies with "wind- fall" taxes.

John McCain is making it very hard for us conservative bloggers to heal the Republican Party. How can I tell you to "give McCain a chance", when the freaking guy is running around sounding more liberal than Obama?

John McCain has no problem apologizing to Black people for NOT supporting a Martin Luther King day, (which McCain should have apologized for.)

But when will McCain apologized for stabbing us conservatives in the back with McCain- Feingold, or McCain- Kennedy?

And Barack Obama…

Obama was "the great Hope- for change." But after listening to him for a while, it would take a lot of "hope" for Obama to change anything.

I’m starting to pull my hair out.

And, (if that wasn’t enough):

You poor renters are being screwed.

All of you folks who rent housing and do not own property, you "might" be forced to pay for idiots who bought houses they cannot afford.

All of us taxpayers could be screwed.

However, the folks who are renting apartments, because they cannot afford to buy a home, you are REALLY being screwed. You might have to pay to bail out the people who cannot afford their "sub-prime" home loans.

If congress passes the 300 (to) 400 BILLION dollar bail out of sub-prime loans, I am going to puke.

This one really pisses me off..

All of the property that I own is paid off, however; I bought a laptop computer with my Sears credit card.

Why should I pay it off..??

"I was deceived..!! I thought the minimum payment would stay at $30 bucks a month. I didn’t realize the monthly payment could go to $50 a month..!! Sears was mean to me and the taxpayers should pay my bill for my laptop computer.."

Folk’s, this slide into socialism that America is taking, is really starting to scare me..!!

If you cannot pay your home mortgage payment, then you were living too far above your means. You need to claim bankruptcy and move into a rented apartment.

The taxpayers should not bail you out. The people who rent housing, because they are SMART enough to know they cannot afford a mortgage right now, should not have to pay for assholes who took out these loans and didn’t read the fine print.

Banks need to fail if they wrote loans to risky people. Stockholders will take a hit for investing in these banks, that were writing risky loans.

The system will purge itself, if we let it.

But no…

We are going to bail these people out so they can do it again, later on.

I say this many times in my blog:

Today, we Americans pay a higher percentage of taxes, then the founding fathers did, when they started the revolution against the British.

What did we have the revolution for..??

We pay higher taxes today.

We have thrown away the constitution, granting freedom and liberty, so that we will be forced to pay money to people who took out risky loans.

If you need a bigger vehicle for your business, you will have a choice of a couple to choose from. Several vehicles that the supreme rulers have deem "except-able." However, you will be taxed for the CO2 that you are putting out.

And we wonder why American companies are leaving our shores..??

Why John McCain?

It always bugs me to see bloggers who do nothing but cut others down. Never do they ever build anything up.

I feel that if you are going to say that a particular political party is wrong for America, you need to also explain why another party would be better.

I have been picking on Obama and Hillary because I believe BOTH do not have the correct political direction for America. (I will probably be picking on both quite a bit, till November.)

But today, I wanted to talk about John McCain.

I have done several editorials defending McCain. These editorials date back to when McCain became the frontrunner of the republican nominee process. At the time, many conservatives hated the fact that McCain would represent the republicans. I have put a link here, if you would like to check two of these editorials out.

The verbal beatings on John McCain

But let’s talk about McCain, today.

Experience-

John McCain has the most experience of anyone running for president. You couple his military experience with his public service, and you cannot deny he is the most qualified of those running. I would prefer someone who has governed a State, but all three candidates come from the senate, so we cannot site McCain for that.

Clearly, mistakes were made in Iraq. (As with all wars.) Wouldn’t it be wise to elect someone with first hand experience in war?

America at WAR-

John McCain believes in the War on Terror. He feels it is making us safer and is hurting terrorists and terror organizations.

However, McCain feels that Rumsfeld and others mishandled the Iraq War. McCain made public speeches claiming we should increase troop levels- way before the actual surge took place. McCain was on the right track.

Gitmo and "harsh interrogations"

John McCain has said he wants to close down the Gitmo interment camp in Cuba. This has many conservatives pissed off.

I do not want to see terrorist prisoners brought to America and tried in the American court system.

They are NOT Americans. They fall into a category of POW’s and should be tried in a military court. Not on US soil.

But John McCain has never said that he is transporting all Gitmo detainees to America. He just said he wants to close Gitmo. Detainees could be tried in Iraq. Or an Abu Ghraib type place. We just do not know what his plans are for current inmates or future ones. I cannot debate this topic without that info.

"Harsh interrogations"

You have got to be the most callous son of a bitch, to walk the face of the earth, if you site John McCain for this one.

McCain WAS a POW.

He was in a prison camp.

And he was tortured.

If John McCain were to back down on this principal, how could he every receive respect for anything?

We are not voting for robots.

We do not elect clones.

We are voting for human beings and no two people are going to agree on everything.

I have a friend who is a conservative. We both have known each other for many years. We agree on most political and moral matters- except for a few…

I do not mind a funny movie with some adult humor in it, as long as no children are able to watch it. I think a "dirty joke" is funny. I listen to stand up comedy that might be considered "blue material."

My friend is very religious and doesn’t care for this stuff. He believes it should not be made. He is MORE conservative than I am on matters of entertainment.

But he doesn’t kick me out of the conservative movement for liking a "dirty joke.". He doesn’t say that I am "less conservative than he is."

My friend doesn’t believe we should crack down on Mexican immigration. He believes that God wants us to care for- everyone. He believes that the illegal immigrants need help and we should help them.

I too believe that we can help people. However, rules must be followed. We need to know who is living in our country. Illegal immigration needs to be stopped. Legal immigration needs to be expanded.

Just because my friend is an "open borders" type person, doesn’t mean he is less of a conservative. I am not kicking him out of the "conservative club" for that.

There is room for both of us in the Republican Party.

Is John McCain conservative?

I am not going to pick on any bloggers or national radio commentators in this editorial, but you know who I mean-

They talk about compromising "their values" by voting for McCain.

Here is what I say about that…

You could be the best quarterback on the football team. But that doesn’t mean anything if you are sitting on the bench, watching the game from the sidelines.

Crying about the "best player not being on the field" doesn’t win the game. You have to win by using who is on the field.

In this political game, the "coach" is the American people. The "coach" has sent in John McCain to quarterback our team.

If we throw this game by not voting, or voting for a democrat, we cannot complain when democrats begin to change everything.

(And change things they will…)

Having control of The House, The Senate, The White House, and picking the US Justices, Democrats will have "free- reign" over the American government for a guarantied two years.

This is much more important than any football game, but it is the only analogy I could come up with.

Campaign finance reform

McCain needs to continue to explain that this bill didn’t work out. He needs to tell Americans that it should be repealed. It is an infringement on free speech and completely backfired.

I give McCain the benefit of the doubt because many Americans wanted some type of reform. The spending on American campaigns is demented. You could support a small country for a year on the amount of money spent on an American political election.

But McCain- Fendgold NEVER work out. In fact we have MORE spending today. (With worse political attack ads.)

In conclusion…

I will be harsher on John McCain in the future, as well as more complimentary. We have a long way to go yet, and as McCain is brought out into the "spotlight", he will say things that will piss us off.

He will also say things that will prove he is the best candidate running.

After all, he is the most experienced and best-suited for president during a time of war.

Who's your daddy?

Liberals live in this child-like world where utopia is "just around the corner." Utopia is fine, wouldn’t we all love to be there. But the solution that liberals have for reaching utopia is by force. Not by choice.

The liberal plan is flawed from the beginning. It relies on Forced Higher Taxes. Forced Doctors. Forced size of cars we can drive. Forced wattage of light bulbs we can use. Forced amount of toilet paper we can have in our house. Forced temperature of our house...

Force- no matter how loosely you define it, is not freedom, nor is it utopia… AR Babonie

So…

I’m trying to explain to a liberal how I view national health care. Being a conservative, liberals ask me- "how can you let 50 million Americans go without health care? How can you sleep at night knowing you will vote against a national health plan? What about those sick babies..??"

We all get this question.

All of us conservatives will be confronted like this.

You take the logical approach:

You explain that we cannot afford a national health plan right now. Medicaid and Medicare are in trouble NOW- today. Within 15 years, there will not be enough money going in- to pay for the medical treatment that people will need. 15 YEARS- (That’s all the time we have left)… This problem will effect everyone reading this editorial.

Social Security is also in trouble. Within the next 25 to 30 years, SS will not have the funds to pay its recipients.

We cannot start a new program (a National Health Plan) BEFORE we fix the old ones.

If we start a national health plan now, it will be run half-assed because the money isn’t there to run the program correctly.

This falls on deaf ears…

(Trust me folks, I have tried it many times.)

You will get the "blank stare", like a deer in a car’s headlight.

"But other countries have a national health plan, why are we so backward that we cannot afford one..??"

It is then, that you realize that you are talking to a child.

A child doesn’t want to know "How to pay for it." The child just wants it- and they want it now. That is all the child wants to know about the whole situation.

Daddy, can we get a second car because I will be 16 soon and all the other kids will have cars?

No son, we do not have enough money to pay for the first car. We cannot afford a second car right now. If you want a car, get a job and save up for a car. That is what I did.

But all the other families have second cars, why does this family SUCK..??

Folks, we are talking to children here…

They do not want to know the mechanics on "how." Nor do they want to personally work for it. They are happy if "other people" pay for it. They want it NOW, and they do not want to talk about the ramifications of this choice.

Let’s move to global warming:

Dad, the earth is warming up and humans are to blame. We should do something about this…

Where did you get this information? I have never heard of such a thing..??

Dad.. You really should study some science. It’s all over the place. America is the worst polluter of the planet. This family needs to save the earth.

(One month later…)

Son, I did some research and I’m not coming to the same conclusion about global warming. Some scientists believe climate change is natural. We need to talk about this..

Those scientists are bogus. They suck..!! They are oil company people.

OK.. If man causes the earth to warm up, why did the earth warm up 19,000 years ago..?? Man wasn’t burning fossil fuels then..??

This sucks..!! You suck..?? You don’t care about the earth. You are a "flat-earther" and you do not listen to science.

OK son, if you feel that strongly about it, then give up your car, your computer, and your cell phone and then you can save the planet..!!

You suck..!! This family is **ing screwed. I need those things. I need my car and my phone. You suck..!!

We are talking to children here, folks.

We conservatives, are trying to be logical and use facts. But we are getting nowhere because we are talking to children.

Let’s try one more…

The War on terror.

Dad, why do you agree with the War in Iraq? Those people in Iraq, that you call terrorists, could be freedom fighters trying to liberate their country from an occupier- The United States. The terrorists could be like George Washington.

Son, that is silly. George Washington didn’t target his own people. George Washington fought the British soldiers. He didn’t bomb market squares and kill innocent people.

Yea but, we made these people mad. They are using extreme measures because of our interference. We are to blame. We shouldn’t have invaded Iraq. It was unconstitutional.

Congress voted to give the president authority to remove Saddam. That made it constitutional. Saddam never followed his surrender agreement and he was shooting at American pilots. That IS an act of war. We had every reason to invade Iraq. Every reason.

But these Muslims are mad at us because we screw around in their countries. That is what caused all of this.

OK- What made Muslims mad when they attacked US ships off the coast of Tripoli in 1803? America had only been a country for 20 years. Most Arabs hadn’t heard of The United States and didn’t recognize our flag.

But.. But..

What made Muslims angry in 1603 when they tried to take over the earth? During the Ottoman Empire, when they were slaughtering anyone who got in their way, did America make them mad then? We weren’t a country back then, Junior.

I hate this family..!! You don’t care about my thoughts. You just want to prove that you are right. That is all you care about..!! I hate you..!!

We could go on with this demonstration and cover all of today’s political topics. But I believe the point is made.

Liberals do not want to get involved in the mechanics of a program or the details of history. They treat the taxpayers like a servant or a butler. Liberals proclaim: "Get me a health care plan. I need it now.."

However, in typical elitist, child- like fashion…

When a program gets in trouble, a program that democrats created, (Social Security) they do not blame themselves for an ill-conceived pyramid scheme. They blame the current servants (the tax payers)- "..how did you screw up social security? Fix it now, I command you.."

Liberals are like the children of the elite.

"Get me a health plan, get it now.."

"The earth is warming up, we should tax somebody. I want you to fix this. I need my car because I am important, but you folks should drive less.."

They are children.

And how can you be mad at children..??

A child will reach an age, (it could be 16, or 36, or 66) when they will not "willingly" accept knowledge from you anymore. They MUST learn it on their own.

I am almost, (but not completely) convinced that most children are born with liberal tendencies. They do not understand how things work. Most stuff is magical in their minds. Bad things must be a "conspiracy" because there is no way bad things could "just happen."

Most of us grow up and grow out of liberalism.

But some never do.

Liberals live in this child-like world where utopia is "just around the corner." Utopia is fine, wouldn’t we all love to be there. But the solution that liberals have on reaching utopia is by force. Not by choice.

How I became a conservative

I was surfing the "Internets" yesterday and found this video on a message board at Sean Hannity (dot) com.

This video is a MUST SEE for any conservative. I believe liberals should at least give it a view.

The video is done by Evan Sayet- he was a writter for 2 years for Bill Maher (Politically Incorrect- HBO’s Real Time with Bill Maher).

Evan Sayet used to be a liberal, but has switched sides. He has lost a lot of work in Hollywood because once you admit to being a conservative in Hollywood, you are somewhat "blacklisted."

(Those dam "open-minded, free speech loving" liberals)

Listening to Evan’s transformation to conservatism is important in understanding the "liberal mind."

I’m paraphrasing here, but Evan says:

"..My Hollywood liberal friends use to say that they hated America. I always figured it was just something they would say. Like you hate your wife, or you hate your job. But when 9/11 happened and we were under attack, I told my liberal friends that we should do something. They said America probably deserved it, because we interfere in other countries…"

That is when Evan realized his Hollywood liberal friends REALLY DID HATE AMERICA.

I must warn you, this video is about an hour long. But I was compelled to watch the whole thing. Evan is "dead on" with much of his points on liberalism.

After all, he was a liberal just 7 years ago. He was writing for Bill Maher..!! I have to go back to 1979 to remember what it was like to embrace liberalism.
